Many teenagers love animals .Ethan Phillips is one of them.He is a cute boy from USA.As a 12 years old teenage,he likes to be a volunteer to look after the animals in the zoo at the weekend as well as swim and paint in his leisure time.His voluntary work still includes cieaning the whole zoo and making signs of animals.He sets a good example for us to love animals.

我们在这里学习社会科学,外语是必修课程.大部分人学习英语.想要精通一门外语绝非易事,所以我们都很努力地学习,我们必须将英语学好,使其更好地服务于我们的社会主义革命事业和社会主义建设事业.

一、问题研究的背景.
近年来,伴随着英语教学改革的快速推进和新教材的全面实施,学生的听、说能力得到较大改善,但学生的英文写作能力还相对滞后,也一直是影响整个英语水平提高的重大障碍.因为英文写作是英语语言的一种综合性表达方式,是听、说、读、写中相对较难的一种技能.它不仅能够体现英语学习者的英文表达能力和思维能力,而且能较客观地反映他们综合运用语言的能力.
如何充分挖掘学生英文写作能力的潜力,进而最终达到提高学生英文写作能力的目的呢?本文试从分析英文写作的困难和存在的问题出发,通过运用英语报刊教学来提高学生的英文写作能力.
二、问题研究的提出及进展情况.
一直以来,培养英文写作能力主要依靠英语课本进行,可利用的资源十分匮乏,学生的写作能力难以得到有效的提高.在英语教学实践过程中,通过借鉴和总结,逐渐感觉到英文报刊对于提高学生英文写作能力具有十分重要的作用.当然,英文报刊并不是提高中学生英语写作能力的唯一途径,但是英文报刊对于提高中学生英文写作能力却是最佳最有效的途径之一,因为通过阅读一些名著的英语简写本,看一些通俗易懂的英文杂志,对于提高对英语语言的认知能力、不断的积累词汇和英语习惯表达方式,进一步体会和领悟作者传递信息和表达思想感情的方法,之后用英语来表述写作等就有水到渠成之效果,这样就也可以大大的提高了中学生的英语写作能力,并在很大程度上规避了中文写作习惯对英语写作水平的影响；鉴于此作为一名英语教师提出要不断地阅读英文报刊,为英文写作提供语言、内容、修辞等方面的输入和范本,从而提高其英文写作能力.
首先,英文报刊作为一种时事英语,不仅话题新颖,从校园热点、文化知识、到休闲阅读等内容广泛,而且文章短小精悍,迎和现代生活节奏,容易让人接受,能够与学生产生共鸣,从而进一步激发学生对阅读材料的浓厚兴趣,因为兴趣是写作的最大动力,也就能使学生集中注意力,进而情绪高涨,因此随着学习兴趣和主动性的明显提高,再加上阅读了不同题材,拓展了知识面,学生的英文写作水平及深度就会有明显的提升,顺其自然学生的英文写作能力也就有了不同程度的提高.
其次,英文报刊能够比较及时地反映英语的发展和变化,有助于英语词汇和短语的不断更新.就其丰富的词汇而言,21世纪英语具备任何一门英语课都不具备的优越性：在今天的信息时代,新的词汇随着信息爆炸而不断出现,其中有些十分有用而又不是过于专业化的词汇往往最早出现在新闻传播媒介上,并由此进入千家万户,比如,中国的唐诗在某些西方国家很流行,高二第二期的阅读材料Moon comes round full circle中,有关“但愿人长久,千里共婵娟”的翻译,Though miles apart, we’ll share the beauty she display.有关最新科技动态及产品的词汇一般都最先出现在新闻中,才逐渐被人们接受.相当一部分的词汇刚在新闻英语中出现时在字典中是查不到的,如,glocalization这个词,它是由英语单词global和local(ization)这两个词合成而来,可以猜测,这个词与全球和本土有关,可以翻译成“球土化”,它指的是一种文化现象,即带有本土和民族特色的东西逐渐被全球接受；比如,中国的唐装在某些西方国家流行,蕴涵中国传统武术文化的电影在国际电影界的备受瞩目等.从新闻英语诸多的新鲜词汇中,我们不仅可以锻炼学生的词汇学习技巧,而且也能更多地了解世界.所以在教学实践中,每周开一节报刊写作课,旨在通过报刊阅读,在提高学生阅读兴趣的基础上,帮助学生掌握有效的写作方法,提高学生的写作能力.因此,通过实践,我们可以看到英语报刊阅读作为辅助教学的工具有很多不可替代的优势.
最后,英文报刊中丰富的文章结构、体裁、与此相适应的语言风格、详细阐述或叙述的角度和方法、文化多样化的接触,有助于学生建立不同文体风格图式、利用多渠道信息完成具有特定交际目的作文的能力,同时广泛的英文报刊阅读还有助于学生了解不同文化框架下的文本存在方式.因为在非自然英语环境中,英语学习者只有通过阅读才能接触大量的、地道的书面语言,也只有在有足够量的输入前提下才会有输出,才会有较高水平的英文文章的问世.
鉴于英文报刊存在的诸多优势,因此在具体实际教学中,利用课余时间指导和帮助学生充分利用所订阅的21世纪报进行阅读,为了使学生们更好的使用21世纪报,采取的做法：

How to Solve the Problem of Heavy Traffic?
Nowadays, Most of the important cities of the world sufrer from traffic jam. Our roads are packed with cars and the air is full of the pollution they emit.It has seriously influenced people"s daily life and economic development.
Traffic administration officials say the main cause of road accidents is the failure of drivers to pay attention to traffic rules.Foe example, We were caght in traffic congestion last night.All of the cars crawled their way and formed a long queue in the rush hour.Almost no one obey traffic rules.I think our citizens’ lack of awareness of road safely contributes to traffic accidents.In addition, one recently published study found that nearly half of the drivers who were polled at expressway entrances and exists in Beijing and shanghai had problems with dozing oof while driving.

Everybody needs help because he may meet difficulties from time to time. And helping others brings us happiness. For one thing, by helping others you show people around you that you are a kind, warm-hearted and helpful person. And by doing something you can to help others will make you really happy and satisfied even nothing is done in return. What"s more, if you always help others, other people will learn from you and more people will offer their help to others, and then our world will be really a nice place to live in. In this way, you are making a difference to the world.
I like to help others whenever I can. I"m good at English and I often go to Baidu to help those who have difficulties in learning English. I spend quite some of my spare time answering different kinds of questions. When my answers are accepted, I"m really happy. And when they say words like "Thank you.", I feel that I"m really a useful person in this world which makes me more confident in my study and life. What I didn"t expect is that by helping others my English has improved a lot too because I need to study myself to make sure that my answers are correct.
So I"d like to say to everyone around me that, let"s all try our best to lend a helping hand whenever we can for that"s a good way to make ourselves happy.
