中考重点知识讲解 名词所有格
英语有主格、宾格和所有格的概念，人称代词主格和宾格差别明显，但是名词的主格和宾格是没有区别的，所以我们讲到名词的格的时候，一般探讨的只是名词所有格的问题。
名词的所有格：名词的所有格是表示名词所有关系的一种形式，英语中有三种方法表示所有关系：
1、在名词后加’s（或’，当该名词以-s结尾时），如：Tom’s friends, Jim’s watch
2、用of短语构成所有格，如：the size of the shirt衬衫的尺寸（有人把这也算所有格：the key to the door门的钥匙, the keys/answers to the exercises练习的答案）
3、上述两种所有格形式的混合，也叫双重所有格，如：a friend of Tom’s, these pictures of his father’s
常见所有格形式的具体用法：
1、表示有生命意义的名词通常在其后加’s（如名词以字母s结尾，直接加’）；表示无生命的名词用of短语表示所有关系。
（有生命）Tom’s bag a teachers’ college 师范学院
（无生命）the colour of the desk桌子的颜色 a picture of our school 一张我们学校的照片
2、在表示所属物的名词前有冠词、数词、指示代词、不定代词时，用双重所有格表示所有关系，以表示部分概念或带有感情色彩。
This friend of Jim’s is from America.
吉姆的这位朋友来自美国。
Some works of Lao She’s are written in English.
老舍的一些著作是用英语写成的。
3、如名词的定语较长，只能用of短语来表示其所有格。如：Do you know the name of the boy in Class Two? 你知道二班的那位男孩的名字吗？
请大家特别注意下面的示例，做到举一反三：
Lucy和Lily是双胞胎，她们的父亲应该表示成：Lucy and Lily’s father；假如她们有各自的房间，在谈到她们的房间时应该这样表示：Lucy’s and Lily’s rooms；假如她们共有一间房子时，应该说：Lucy and Lily’s room.
在表示某人的家或店铺时（或有上下文对比时），名词所有格后面常常省略它修饰的名词。如：John’s=John’s home, the doctor’s=the doctor’s office这个医生的诊所 My book is new, but Tom’s is old. 我的书是新的，但是汤姆的书是旧的。
以下这点经常在考试中出现：
有些表示时间、距离、国家、城镇等无生命的名词，也可用加（’s或者’）的方法构成所有格。如：today’s news今天的消息, two hours’ walk步行两小时的路程, China’s capital中国的首都

名词：表示人、事物、地方、现象或抽象概念等的名称的词。
知识梳理：提纲挈领，抓住重点和难点！
一、 名词的分类
注：1.专有名词是指人、地方、团体、机构等特有的名称。第一个字母必须大写。专有名词前一般不加冠词。
2、有普通名词构成的专有名词前要用定冠词"the"，但它不大写。
3、有些不可数名词有时表示为具体的东西时，则变为可数名词，而且以四上也有了变化。eg. beer ----a beer 一杯啤酒， work--- a work 工厂，著作 ，glass---a glass 一个玻璃杯， room空间---a room一个房间
名词的所有格
名词的所有格
名词的所有格是表示名词之间的所有关系,有两种表示形式, 一种是在名词后+'s；另一种是用of, 表示 "……的"
1. (1) 一般词的所有格, 直接在词尾 +'s。
eg. Mr. Mott's robot, children's clothes
(2) 以s护着es结尾的复数名词，所有格只在词尾 +' eg. teachers' books
以s结尾的单数名词（通常为人名）+ ’或者’s eg: Engels’ book
不以s结尾的复数名词+ ‘s eg: the children’s bags/ the women’s work/
复合名词+’s eg: a grown-up’s education 成人教育
(3) 两人共有的物体, 则在第二个名词后+'s; 如果分别是两人所有, 则在每个名词后面+'s。 eg. Lucy and Lily's room. (指两人共住一个房间)
Mrs Green's and Mrs Brown's son. (指两人各自的儿子)
(4) 表示某具体场所时, 所有格后面的名词可省略
eg. the doctor's (office) Mr. White's
2.(1) 没有生命的事物一般用of 短语来表示所属关系。
eg. the wall of the classroom，a picture of the bedroom，
(2) 名词的的定语较长时,有生命的事物也可用of短语表示。
eg. a long story of a 50-year-old man
(4) 双重所有格 eg. a friend of his, the big nose of Tom's
(5) 有些表示时间、距离、国家、城市等无生命的东西的名词，也可以加's来构成所有格。 eg. ten minutes' walk, today's newspaper
