前两天我们假日小队的几个队员就商量好了，约在今天去参观赵让梅奶奶的实验室。
一大早，我们几个满怀好奇心地走进了赵奶奶的公司。奶奶还没来，一位姓杨的叔叔热情地接待了我们。他告诉我们他们这里是专门提取一些物质里的成分作分析研究的。
首先，他向我们展示了毛细管柱。原先我以为是根细柱子，可拿出来一看，像是一根又细又长的铜丝绕成的线圈，但事实上它是用石英制成的空心管子，直径只有0.25毫米，长度是15米，据介绍最长的研究长度需要达到两三百米。我不禁眯着眼睛往里瞧，“哇！洞口好小啊！”“是的。我们往管壁里涂抹上一层物质，这个工序很复杂，等会儿你们可以领你们去参观一下。”
接着，叔叔以室内装修后的空气检测为例，向我们说了说他们的工作。他拿出大小两根针管，一支是我们在医院就能看到的小号针管，容量为1毫升，另一支是研究用的，容量为10微升。杨叔叔介绍到平时只需从刚装修过的房间内抽取1微升的空气，把它注入毛细管柱，给它适当的温度，里面的物质会根据温度的不同先后“赛跑”起来，对温度要求最不高的是苯，所以它会最先跑出来的，其次是甲苯，随后会有更多的成分先后“跑”出来，随
之仪器上会根据时间的不同出现高低不同的峰。
听了叔叔的介绍，我们都迫不及待地想参观实验室，叔叔答应了我们的请求。
走进实验室，首先映入眼帘的是毛细管柱的清洗。新买来的毛细管柱靠调配好的纯净水清洗，只见阿姨将毛细管柱的一头插进一个装有纯净水的试管里，另一头挂在一个空瓶内，水不停地往下滴，直到不滴，管子才算清洗完毕。清洗后的毛细管柱经过烘干便可进行涂抹。
紧接着让我们看看怎样涂抹的吧。只见阿姨将一种像“蜂蜜”一样的东西注入进去，听说那就是胶。我不禁走上前去想看个究竟，这时，杨叔叔让我们站远点，别影响阿姨，他说：“做这项工作时，一定要静心，否则涂抹会不均匀，甚至会出现堵塞，以致无法用来研究。”我们立刻安静了许多，屏息凝神注视着。听说，不同的物质，需要涂抹不同的胶，而注好胶的管子就让它自然晾干以备实验用。
这些准备工序完成后，就可以实验了。一位叔叔提取了一些白酒的样品，把它注入涂抹好的毛细管柱，不一会儿，仪器屏幕上根据不同成分分离的先后顺序出现了一个个峰。真让人惊讶！
回家后，我上网查了查相关资料，发现这些研究在石油、食品、环保、生化、医药、公安等领域的分析测试中发挥着极为重要的作用，掌握该技术不仅需要具有一定的基本理论知识，还要具有大量的实际经验。相信色谱分析技术的不断发展，新技术、新仪器层出不穷，应用领域也越来越广。这真是一次不同寻常的体验！
