A western festival reveals western culture, we may comprehend more about cultures and broaden our horizons.
But many western festivals have their real meanings, but we enjoy the festival without konwing the real meaning.Take Christmas for instance, most Chinese people are not christians, but blind worship of suit, this is not respect for culture.
At Christmas, we give cards to each other, express best wishes to the person we love. Christmas is a carrier can give us such an atmosphere, enjoying good wishes can also experience foreign cultures.
As experience cultures, the attitude of controversial valentine"s day and Qixi festival in young men"s mind is widely divergent, China"s traditional culture in their hearts is not seriousely enough to be concerned . They lack of the understanding of the essence.
Unlike China"s Qixi festival, western festival is open, the pursuit of the festival. In the festival, couples took to the streets to shopping or to play, full of bold and unrestrained and of the feelings of the tears, but for Chinese festival, more is honor ancestors, such different culture makes the different style, which I also prefer western reason for the season.
Well, maybe is my too narrow a view, Chinese festival culture need tradition and innovation to a combination, only in this way can it send out the real culture breath.
