什么是能力?什么是教学能力?什么是体育教学能力?要名词解释形式的能力：人们完成活动中表现出来的能力有所不同. 能力 ,就是指顺利完成某一活动所必需的主观条件. 能力是直接影响活动效率,并使活动顺利完成的个性心理特征.能力总是和人完成一定的活动相联系在一起的.离开了具体活动既不能表现人的能力,也不能发展人的能力
教学能力：是教师进行高效教学的核心能力.有学者认为,教师的教学能力结构包括具体学科教学能力、一般教学能力和教学认知能力三种.具体由下述几种能力构成：（1）认识能力,主要表现为敏锐的观察力、丰富的想象力、良好的记忆力,尤其是逻辑思维能力和创造性能力等；（2）设计能力,主要表现为教学设计能力,包括确定教学目标、分析教材、选择与运用教学策略、实施教学评价的能力等；（3）传播能力,包括语言表达能力、非语言表达能力、运用现代教育技术能力等；（4）组织能力,主要包括组织教学能力、组织学生进行各种课外活动的能力、组织培养学生优秀集体的能力、思想教育的能力、协调内外部各方面教育力量的能力、组织管理自己的活动的能力等；（5）交往能力,主要包括在教育教学中的师生交往能力.
