This passage tells us that there has been a close relationship between humans and animals since ancient times，and that animals used to be very intelligent，but some of them have been much less intelligent since becoming pets.
As for zoos，different people have different ideas.Some people believe that zoos should be closed down because it is cruel to keep animals locked up.However，I think zoos do have a positive role to play in society.

教学反思： 1、教师引导，所写内容和词汇都为本单元所学。
2、教师给出了文章的写作方法及框架结构，通过学生书写，教师纠正作文里面的错误
也较少。
3、学生文章结构完整，思路清晰，句式结构多样，达到了教学目的和要求。
4、缺点是所给写作内容较为死板固定，限制了学生的自由发挥。
5、通过批阅作文可以看出，部分同学只列出了框架结构，里面没有实际内容，究其原因是不会用英语表达。而经过讨论之后再完成的作文，90%的同学都能完成写作任务。事实证明引导探究式的教学模式符合我校学生实际，学生也比较感兴趣，值得推广。
